Home : St Francis of Assisi School
A waharoa (gateway) for the local Te Maire St Francis of Assisi Catholic School in St Albans, is a demonstration of combining culture and the school’s catholic history to boost the school’s identity. Master carver Fayne Robinson wanted to highlight the school’s values, catholic charism and the environment on which the school site sits on through the many Koru representing growth.
A vapour-blasted concrete pathway reaches up to the corten steel gateway, resulting in a uniquely personal waharoa for the school.
