The new St. John Ambulance Kaikoura sculpture represents the relationship between the people and the environment of Kaikoura’s rich cultural history. The sculpture depicts a Pōhā made from kelp wrapped in tōtara bark inside a flax basket. Working closely with Master Carver & Designer Riki Manuel , Art Fetiche brought the design to life. Using weaving techniques incorporated with steelwork, Art Fetiche Crafted a sculpture to last in the elements & keep within tradition.
As in any project of this scale Art Fetiche can provide a range of services and specific applications to enhance the final outcome. With skilled in house operators and state of the art tech, we add value to the over all impact of a project.
